Description
What can I expect from coaching?
- We will be present and future-focused.
- The focus is on goals and solutions.
- The coach is a partner in your efforts to improve your life.
- We will work together to remove barriers and facilitate growth.
What should I not expect?
- For the coach to provide any sort of diagnosis or treatment for a mental health condition; if the condition is too unstable, and safety cannot be assured, you may receive a referral.
- To look deeply into your past for the potential causality.
- To receive therapy.
What topics can coaching effectively address?
- Impulse control skills; whether working with parents or with teens, we can address common problems like blurting out answers, interrupting, and acting before thinking.
- Developing tools to help support learning (study skills, accommodations to use in schools, organization, etc.)
- Building resiliency and confidence in kids
- Social skills for teensĀ
- Parent training to help you regain control of your household
How do I know if coaching is right for me?
Some signs that coaching may be a good fit for you are:
- You are not in need of a diagnosis
- You are more interested in treating symptoms than finding the cause
- You would like some support to grow and practice new skillsĀ
- You are ready to make a change for your family
While individual coaching sessions are $75, you will only pay $60/session with the 8-week package.
All sessions are held on Zoom, and are 45 minutes. Once you schedule the time, you will receive an email with a direct link for the Zoom meeting, and an intake and consent form where you can tell me more about your goals and hopes for coaching.
If you have any questions or concerns, make sure to sign-up for the free discovery call to learn more about coaching.
